ஜாதிகள் கொந்தளித்து, ஜனங்கள் வீணானதைச் சிந்திப்பானேன்?
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகவும், அவர் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவருக்கு விரோதமாகவும், பூமியின் ராஜாக்கள் எழும்பி நின்று, அதிகாரிகள் ஏகமாய் ஆலோசனைபண்ணி:
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
அவர்களுடைய கட்டுகளை அறுத்து, அவர்களுடைய கயிறுகளை நம்மைவிட்டு எறிந்துபோடுவோம் என்கிறார்கள்.
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
பரலோகத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறவர் நகைப்பார்; ஆண்டவர் அவர்களை இகழுவார்.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
அப்பொழுது அவர் தமது கோபத்திலே அவர்களோடே பேசி, தமது உக்கிரத்திலே அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணி:
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
நான் என்னுடைய ராஜாவை என்னுடைய பரிசுத்த பர்வதமாகிய சீயோன்மேல் முடிசூட்டி வைத்தேன் என்பார்.
Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
தீர்மானத்தின் விவரம் அறிவிப்பேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீர் என்னுடைய குமாரன், இன்று நான் உம்மை ஜெநிப்பித்தேன்;
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
என்னிடம் கேள், அப்பொழுது ஜாதிகளை உமக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகவும், பூமியின் எல்லைகளை உமக்குச் சொந்தமாகவும் கொடுப்பேன்;
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
இரும்புக் கோலால் அவர்களை நொறுக்கி, குயக்கலத்தைப்போல அவர்களை உடைத்துப்போடுவீர் என்று சொன்னார்.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
இப்போதும் ராஜாக்களே, உணர்வடையுங்கள்; பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதிகளே, எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
பயத்துடனே கர்த்தரைச் சேவியுங்கள், நடுக்கத்துடனே களிகூருங்கள்.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
குமாரன் கோபங்கொள்ளாமலிருக்கவும், வழியிலே நீங்கள் அழியாமலிருக்கவும், அவரை முத்தஞ்செய்யுங்கள்; கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே அவருடைய கோபம் பற்றி எரியும்; அவரை நம்புகிற யாவரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
